For the Greater Good - Volume 11, Issue 6

"Help us see what is there instead of what isn't.”
- Annette Bridges

Last week, I had the pleasure of engaging in conversation with the Global Wellness Institute community thanks to Renee Moorefield of Wisdom Works.

My topic: the future of business as a healing force. And here are a few of the thoughts shared during that webinar.

What if business could do more than just sustain — what if it could heal?

For small purpose-driven businesses, healing begins with how we treat people, our communities, and the planet. When wellbeing is woven into how we work — not tacked on as an extra — it transforms both culture and impact.

Yes, small businesses face real pressures: time, resources, constant change. But they also have a superpower — their humanity. They can listen more closely, act more quickly, and care more deeply. That’s where healing begins.

A business that heals doesn’t just avoid harm — it restores, reconnects, and regenerates. And purpose-driven small businesses are perfectly placed to lead this movement, showing that care and commerce can thrive together.

How is your business helping to heal the world around you?
